interview report

Eissa Alhosani was interviewed by Ghanem Alhassani, H00237051, and Mohammed Almosaabi H00230922, in C1001 classroom on 27-2-2013 at 11:30 am. Eissa Alhossani has a bachelor degree in accounting, studied in Abu Dhabi Mens College, and is 28 years old; he has 3 years of experience in Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank.  He left his job because he was not satisfied and prefers the government sector over the private. Eissa started well in the interview where he talked clearly about himself .He was wearing a traditional kandoora which is a clothing that suits the interview, but his problem was he made no eye contact with the interviewers and did not move his hands or show a good body language. Talking in a clear voice is crucial in an interview to show that the person is confident about himself. I didn’t see any of these characteristics in Eissa since his voice was low and not clear. Pertaining to language he used simple words and there were no complex words. Eissa was not sitting straight and his head was down which did not impress the interviewers. Preparation leads to self-confidence and knowing what to talk about with no hesitancy, and Eissa did not have any of these appearances that show he was prepared.

Can you work under pressure? Was the easiest question as he said because in our days every one faces pressure so it became something normal to handle. On the other hand, the hardest question was why  should I hire you because he did not know what abilities and skills  would make him a valued employee in the company. Eissa’s performance was not bad in the beginning but he seemed stressed and not confident about himself. I think if it was a real interview he would not have gotten the job because he did not amaze the interviewers about his appearance and abilities.
